April and I love to share spicy almonds, cashews, and peanuts with friends.  And as it turns out, candying your own blend of nuts is really easy.

  • egg white with 1 TBS water
  • 1 lb of mixed nuts
  • 1 C. of sugar (cane is best)
  • 1 TBS salt
  • 1TBS Cinnamon
  • 1 tsp cayenne
  • 1 1/2 tsp paprika
  1. Whisk egg white with water for 2-3 minutes, until light foam appears.
  2. Add nuts to bowl and coat evenly.
  3. Add sugar/ spice mix and coat evenly.
  4. Spread on a sheet pan lined with parchment.
  5. bake for 1hr 10 min at 275 degrees F.
  6. Take pan out half way, and scramble up contents of pan.
  7. Let cool in pan for 45 min to an 1hr
